Women of Softcom

Adebusola Adedotun

How would you describe the work you do at Softcom? And what are you most proud of?

I’m accountable for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, integrating and coordinating our financial services, products, and resources to maximize the value of the business relationship and ensure profitability for Eyowo and the client.

Something I’m most proud of is winning Market Facing Person of the year 2020 based on my contribution to sales and relationship management in Eyowo. I was also nominated as Best Newcomer of the Year 2020.

What does choosing to challenge mean personally for you?
It means that the narrative around the barriers to women advancement in a workplace and business needs to change.
What would access and inclusion look like for you in the Africa Softcom is trying to build?
Access to simplified financial products for individuals and businesses, and increased interoperability/synergy between products in different countries.
How did you get into the tech environment?
I have a background in Computer Engineering. This has formed my interest and defined the types of roles and sectors I have worked in so far.
What do you do for fun?
I like to dance, play, and hang out with my husband and kids. I love watching cartoons, particularly Tom & Jerry, Kungfu Panda, and Madagascar – Escape to Africa.
