Women of Softcom

Philomena Obasi

How would you describe the work you do at Softcom? What are you most proud of?

I provide optimal technical support to the staff at Softcom Limited. I’m most proud of the smile that’s pasted on the faces of staff members when swift solutions are provided to their issues. This guarantees they can meet their OKRs with little or no technical problems.

When you picture a gender-equal world, what do you see?

I see every human given the opportunity to reach their full potential regardless of their gender.
What would access and inclusion look like for you in the Africa Softcom is trying to build?
For me, access means every African is provided with all they need to reach their goals and inclusion means the less privileged are given an opportunity and the resources to reach their potential.
How did you get into the tech environment?

I started fixing things in the house as a kid then I decided to study a tech-related course at the university.

What do you do for fun?
I try to hang out with friends.

Tell two truths about yourself and one lie.

I like to shop. I’m at the office every week. I’m short.
