Women of Softcom

Raheemat Atata

How would you describe the work you do at Softcom? What are you most proud of?

I solve user problems using design. The proudest moment for me was during the MVP event when Kwiksell was shown to everyone at the event. I was so proud of what I was able to contribute to the world at large.

When you picture a gender-equal world, what do you see?

A world where the female gender can be able to participate in decision-making forums and be part of the change. In politics, there’s a lack of support towards female leadership.

What would access and inclusion look like for you in the Africa Softcom is trying to build?

Being able to go to a restaurant and my order is taken using Kwiksell KDS and I’m able to pay for my food with Eyowo QR or any payment option of my choice.

How did you get into the tech environment?

I learnt through the influence of friends when I was in school.

What do you do for fun?

Watch movies and hang out with friends.

Tell two truths about yourself and one lie.

I love to read novels. I enjoy trying out different foods. I have a YouTube channel.
